Japanese engineers develop flying robotic orb

This is pretty cool stuff. And as they point out, it’s also a proof-of-concept prototype, so, basically, you can expect it to get more awesome in time. For better or for worse, it may just be a few years till we see robotic spheres roaming the skies and streets.

Also, at just $1,400 and using common parts, I’d love to see someone release a DIY kit for something like this.
